FIND THE RANGER
Berkeley Marina, K-Dock
The Ranger is a 56-foot Westport with a cabin to get out of the wind, plenty of seating and a restroom on board. If seasickness worries you, take medication the night before and again in the morning. The deckhands clean and bag your catch before you head home.
ON THE BOAT
You don't need experience or your own gear. Rod rental is $25 and includes bait, and the deckhands rig your line, bait your hook and help you land your fish. If you'd rather bring your own rod, Captain Paul will help you set it up.
NEVER FISHED BEFORE?
A California fishing license if you're 16 or older, layers (it's colder on the water than in the parking lot), sunscreen, and your own food and drinks. Water, soda and snacks are sold on board and the coffee is free. Leave your ice chest in the car until the trip is over.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Park in either public lot south of University Avenue and walk the sidewalk down to Berkeley Marina and K-Dock. The Ranger is in Slip K 111. Arrive 30 minutes before departure and check in with Captain Paul at the boat.

- Your Own Rod & Reel (if you prefer not to rent one) – Rod rentals are available for $25 and include bait.
- Ice Chest (leave it in your vehicle until the trip is over to keep your catch fresh)

Trips are subject to weather and participation. If we cancel due to safety or logistics, we will reschedule your adventure.
